Tomorrow is my flight. I leave from JFK at 11:45 PM and arrive in Taipei at 6:05 AM. The flight is 18 hours 20 minutes. Then at 9:55 AM, I fly from Taipei to Chiang Mai, Thailand arriving at 12:55 PM, a 4 hour flight.
We are going to see Missy's soccer game in Allentown tomorrow afternoon and then going straight up to JFK. Unfortunately, Megan has to work early in the morning Monday so it will just be Mom, Dad, Missy and me. I'm glad at least most of the family can come.
I have had a pretty busy few weeks at home. I went to Myrtle Beach, South Carolina with Mom and Selina for a few days and just got back Thursday morning. I've spent the last few days packing and getting everything ready. I have a bit more packing to do and then I'm ready.
It finally hit me. Yesterday I was driving and the Simon and Garfunkel song America came on and I just started crying. Then I cried again saying goodbye to my grandmother. I've cried once today and I'm sure I'll cry much more tomorrow. It's always sad to leave things. But I am extremely excited. I just don't quite know what to expect.
